Do you (or your married household) earn less than $66,000? Do you need to file your taxes? If you said yes to both of these questions, then you are eligible to receive FREE tax assistance during this year's Coulee Region Tax Assistance events!
Assistance provided includes:
- Free filing of 2018 income tax returns for individuals or married households
- free computer and printer access for households to file their own income tax returns using MyFreeTaxes.com
- Free drop-off service provided for filing a 2018 homestead credit (with a rent certificate)
- IRS-trained volunteers who are available to answer questions
How to schedule: Call Consumer Credit Counseling Services at 608.784.8380 to set up an appointment. Walk-ins are welcome, but we cannot guarantee assistance without an appointment.
What to Bring to Your Appointment:
- Photo ID
- Social Security cards for you, your spouse, and dependents
- Wage and earning statements (2018 Form W-2, W-2G, 1099-R, 1099-Misc) from all employers
- Health Insurance statements (2018 Forms 1095)
- Current Health Insurance exemptions certificate, if received
- A copy of 2017 federal and state returns, if available
- Proof of bank account routing and account numbers (e.g. a blank check) for direct deposit
- Rent certificate, if applicable
