American Hazelnut Company

Who We Are

We are a collective of small, regenerative farms that are growing a hazelnut industry in the Midwest. Hazelnuts are native to Wisconsin, and provide many environmental benefits for soil health, water quality, biodiversity, and farmer livelihoods. This is a new industry, and so we don't have everything figured out. We rely on volunteers who are interested in spending a morning or afternoon on a hazelnut farm to make sure the nuts don't go to waste. Once the nuts are harvested, we turn them into a line of rich and regenerative hazelnut snacks and pantry goods.

How Volunteers Help

I am reaching out on behalf of one of our farmers, Mary Hovel. She grows regenerative Midwest Hazelnuts in La Crosse. She does not have the ability to harvest everything on her own, and is looking to connect with volunteers to come out and harvest for a day.
